Annabelle is a stunning white hydrangea, often producing heads over 10" in diameter. Unlike the better known blue and pink hydrangeas (macrophyllas), Annabelle blooms every year even after severe pruning or intensely cold winters. The huge, white "drumstick" blooms appear in profusion without fail.
Discovered in an Anna, Illinois, garden, Annabelle is perhaps the most popular old-fashioned shrub grown in American gardens. Once established, it produces enormous, 12-inch, globe-shaped flowerheads of snowy white starting in early summer and increasing in size until mid-to-late summer. This truly spectacular hydrangea grows to 4 feet. It is a splendid landscape plant that never gets out of bounds.

This outstanding hydrangea is the first ever repeat blooming macrophylla in the industry. It is especially hardy and is the first hydrangea that will bloom on both old and new wood, providing blooming color all season.
Its mophead type flowers are big and showy, up to eight inches in diameter. The striking blooms are clear pink in alkaline soils, and blue in acidic soils with sufficient aluminum.
By cutting back to half the emerging growth, the amount of blooms is significantly increased. Deadheading will promote blooms from April through October in warmer regions, and June through frost in colder areas.
The mature plant will reach 3 to 5 feet in height and width with a full, well-rounded shape. It's ideal as a shrub for mass plantings, or a specimen plant. Works very well in containers. This hydrangea prefers partial sun to shade.

The Hydrangia Little Lamb, 'Hydrangea p. 'Little Lamb', a Proven Winners selection, produces some of the most delicate flowers ever seen on a Hycrangea paniculata. Little Lamb's flowers are like those of the Pee Gee but much smaller. The white flowers look like little lambs dancing above the green foliage. Little Lamb prefers moist, well drained soil and the flower color is not affected by soil PH. This plant blooms in mid to late summer.
The mature height is 6 to 8 feet and will spread 5 to 6 feet. It has a compact rounded form and has a medium growth rate. Little Lamb prefers full sun.

Hydrangea macrophylla 'Mariesii Variegata' bigleaf lacecap hydrangea has lightly variegated leaves, as if someone had taken a fine paintbrush & made a few slim white streaks on each green leaf. The early to midsummer blossoms taken with a few leaves still attached are lovely for bouquets. The blooms can also be dried for dry floral arrangements.
This dome-shaped deciduous shrub grows to about 5 feet tall and 6 feet wide. Pruning for shape or size should be done very soon after the summer flowers are gone, as it sets new buds immediately after flowering.
The central tiny fertile florets are a deep gentian blue, and the large sterile petals surrounding the lacecap are a ghostly pale blue. If the color does ever seem to have faded, a light spring feeding of aluminum sulfate will restore the rich blue color.

Oak Leaf Hydrangea 'Alice'
'Alice' is an oakleaf hydrangea cultivar introduced into commerce by Michael Dirr through his Georgia Plant Introduction Program. This low maintenance, upright, deciduous shrub has a broad rounded habit which typically grows 5-8' tall and as wide (less frequently to 12' tall in optimum growing conditions). It is most noted for its large, arching flower panicles (10-14" long), its usually disease-free foliage and its superior fall color. Large pyramidal flower panicles feature mostly sterile white flowers in June which bloom for 6-8 weeks, gradually fading to pink and then brown by late summer. Distinctive, deeply-lobed, somewhat coarse, deep green, oak-like leaves (to 8" long) turn attractive shades of bronze, maroon and purple in autumn. Mature stems exfoliate to reveal a rich brown inner bark which is attractive in winter.

This is a nice dwarf variety with pretty bright rosy-pink flowers that hold that rosy-pink color no matter what the soil is like! Blossoms in late spring to summer. When grown under ideal conditions, it reaches only about two and a half feet tall and wide.
Pia, like all macrophyllas, grows best in afternoon shade with plenty of moisture. This hydrangea is particularly partial to rich soil (high in organic matter).
Pia is one of the few hydrangeas that stay pink under conditions that would turn most hydrangeas blue.
