Not only is the Phaleonopsis Orchid one of the easiest orchids to grow, but will remains in bloom for up to six months!
This orchid prefers "regular" indoor temperatures and it does not require a chill to set the buds.
From September through April, the Phaleonopsis Orchid likes bright light such as southern or western exposure. When the temperatures stay above 62° farenheit, take them outside and place them in the shade.
Pot your orchids in a special orchid mix. This mix drains rapidly so the spongy roots of the orchid will not rot. These spongy roots absorb humidtiy as well. This is best done in the spring, immediately after flowering. This should be done every one to three years.
Fertilize with Jacks's Classic Orchid Special Water Soluble Plant Food every time you water. Orchids should be watered every five to seven days in the winter and every three days in the summer.

| Paphiopedilums, the lady's slipper orchids, originate in the jungles of the Far East. They are semiterrestrial, growing in humus and other material on the forest floor, on cliffs in pockets of humus and occasionally in trees. They are easy to grow at home, under lights or in the greenhouse. |

Witch Hazel

Common witch hazel is a fall-blooming, deciduous shrub or small tree that is native to woodlands, forest margins and stream banks in eastern North America. It typically grows 15-20’ tall.Stem-hugging clusters of fragrant bright yellow flowers, each with four crinkly, ribbon-shaped petals, appear along the branches from October to December, usually after leaf drop but sometimes at the time of fall color.
