ANNUAL, VEGGIES, AND HERBS BUYER
Clarissa is a Garden Heights repeat bloomer! She has worked at the nursery for many seasons in the past 20 years, and she joined our team full time as our Annuals, Vegetables, and Herbs Buyer in Fall of 2020. She is a lifelong, self-taught gardener, always keeping something flourishing whether in raised beds, fire escape patios, community gardens or her own yard. She has excellent experience creating container and mixed border gardens, and for her own enjoyment loves growing flowers and foliage for cut arrangements. Although it’s difficult to pick just one favorite plant, she loves perennial pink epimedium grandiflorum for its beautiful blooms even in St. Louis’s hot summers!
Kristi Neuman
GREENHOUSE BUYER + MANAGER
Kristi has been with Garden Heights since spring of 2014. She is our greenhouse buyer and manager. You can find her in the greenhouse or patio when it’s warm. Kristi was born into a family of farmers and avid gardeners, enjoying the bounty of gardening from infancy. Her own yard includes mixed ornamental borders, fruiting trees, herbs, and a cornucopia of vegetables. With over thirty years of caring for tropical plants, Kristi is a valuable source of knowledge and will ensure you select the right plant for your space!

This spring we celebrate 25 years of being in business! We have seen tremendous change and growth at the nursery, but one thing has remained the same- the support of the amazing community around us! It’s our honor to serve you, and we hope you enjoy reading about our amazing new options for your landscape and home this season in our 2021 Spring Newsletter!
We are excited to say that our employees are all fully vaccinated, and per the recommendation of the CDC, as of May 15th, 2021 we will no longer require vaccinated customers or employees to wear masks in our store. We ask that if you have not received a vaccine, please kindly still wear your mask.
With these changes, we understand that you may still want to wear your mask in our store and socially distance, and we absolutely welcome that. Some of our employees may continue to wear their masks as well depending on their preference, and our nursery has plenty of space to spread out.
We want you to feel as comfortable as possible while visiting our store, and we look forward to serving you!

MISSOURI NATIVE PLANT OF THE YEAR
Lanceleaf Coreopsis is a dependable and abundantly flowering wildflower that is native to Missouri! It has cheery yellow daisy-like petals that bloom from early summer to fall, and its tolerance for dry conditions and poor soil make it a popular choice for beginners and avid gardeners alike!
Having the garden of your dreams shouldn't be a hassle. Our designer would be glad to help you come up with the perfect design for you landscape. Currently, we are unable to offer our container design services or repotting service, but we hope to add those services back as soon as possible.

All customers must wear a mask and keep a 6-foot distance from other customers.

Our employees will also be wearing a mask, maintaining a 6-foot distance, and sanitizing all surfaces between purchases in order to foster the safest possible experience for our customers.

To limit contact, we will be taking credit or debit card payments only. We have added extra contactless checkout options both inside the store and outside to ensure the safest possible experience during checkout.

Currently we are not offering help with designing your garden or containers, except by appointment with our garden designer. If you need additional assistance planning your landscape before you purchase, please email design@gardenheights.com and our designer would be glad to schedule an appointment with you.

Michael Stephan
DESIGNER
Michael is our resident landscape designer! He started working at Garden Heights in the Spring of 2015 and has been a valuable member of our team ever since. He has an AAS in Horticulture from STLCC and BBA from UMSL. Michael was an entrepreneur for many years designing landscapes, interiorscapes, and owning a retail store. While living in California, he became hooked on succulents and has been collecting them ever since. When he’s not designing, you can find him at the nursery helping customers with trees, shrubs, & tropicals, working on his house, or doing chorale music.
